We do not upload the contents of your address book to iMobSoft servers for contact management. Advertising, crash diagnostics, and sharing or cloud storage you choose involve the processing described below.
01. Contacts and permissions
With your permission, GContact Lite accesses names, phone numbers, email and postal addresses, organizations, notes, photos, groups and contact-account information to display, search, edit, organize, select recipients, back up and restore contacts. We do not use the contents of your contacts for advertising targeting.
Contacts are managed in the device’s contact database and any Google, iCloud, Exchange or other sync accounts you configure. Those services have their own settings and privacy policies. Revoking contact permission makes contact-dependent features unavailable.
On iOS, choosing features that use photos, the camera or calendar may require the relevant device permission. Android may pass a contact’s postal address to your chosen map app; it does not request GPS location permission.
02. Sharing and other apps
When you choose a call, email, SMS, map, contact-sharing or backup-export action, the information needed for it—such as a phone number, recipients, message, address, contact card or file—is passed to the app, recipient or destination you select. Those providers’ privacy policies apply to their processing.
03. Backups and safe storage
Backups can include contact details, photos, groups and appearance settings. Android creates them in app storage and lets you export them to a local file or cloud provider you choose. Android backup files do not have app-specific encryption. Choose trusted storage and sharing destinations.
If you enable iCloud backup on iOS, copies are stored in your Apple iCloud storage. Copies sent by email or exported as files must be managed separately at their destinations. iOS and Android use different backup formats.
04. Advertising and identifiers
The Lite edition uses Google AdMob for advertising. Google may process IP addresses, advertising IDs and other identifiers, device and app information, ad and app interactions, and diagnostic information to deliver, personalize and measure ads and prevent fraud. Approximate location may be inferred from an IP address.
Advertising consent forms and iOS tracking permission are shown as required for your region and device. Device privacy settings let you manage advertising identifiers and tracking choices. On Android, advertising privacy options appear in settings when required and let you revisit consent choices. Advertising consent and crash diagnostics are separate.
05. Crash diagnostics
We use Google Firebase Crashlytics to improve stability and quality. Crash circumstances, stack traces, app and OS versions, device information and installation-related identifiers are sent to Google. We do not intentionally send contact contents as diagnostic data.
Withdrawing advertising consent does not also turn off crash diagnostics. Please see the Firebase privacy information below for its processing and retention details.
06. Retention and deletion
Contacts remain in your device’s contact database and configured sync services until you delete them using the app or device contact tools. Uninstalling GContact Lite does not delete your contacts or externally saved backups.
Android in-app backups and appearance preferences remain until you delete them, clear app data in device settings or uninstall the app. Delete exported files and copies in iCloud or other cloud storage separately at their destinations.
Google’s retention policies apply to advertising data it processes. Firebase documents that Crashlytics crash data and associated identifiers are kept for 90 days before deletion begins. Support emails are retained as needed to resolve the inquiry and meet applicable obligations.
07. Providers and security
Google (AdMob and Firebase Crashlytics), Apple (including iOS permissions and iCloud), and your selected contact-sync, email and storage providers process information for their respective roles. Processing and storage may occur outside your country.
We use device permission controls and app storage protections to limit unnecessary access. Choose trusted recipients and storage providers when exporting or sharing files. See the provider links below for more information.
08. This website
This site has no analytics tags, advertising code or advertising cookies. It does not provide account registration or an address-book upload feature.
Firebase Hosting, which delivers this site, may process IP addresses and HTTP request information for delivery, operation and abuse prevention. Contact links open your email app; the email address and message you send are used to respond to your inquiry.
09. Your choices
Device settings let you manage contacts and other permissions, iOS tracking permission and Android advertising identifiers. Delete backups from the app’s backup screen or the storage destination. There is no separate GContact account, so no GContact account-deletion process is required.
GContact Lite is intended for general users. If you have concerns about a child’s information or wish to ask about access or deletion, contact us below. We may request information needed to handle your inquiry.
10. Contact and policy updates
Contact iMobSoft at support@imobsoft.com about this policy or information handling. Your device, OS and app version can help us respond. Please do not attach address-book files or backups unless specifically requested.
We update this page and its revision date when our features or service providers change. Important changes may also be communicated in the app or store as appropriate.
